If you missed Bronwen Gwillim’s excellent talk on Domestic Goddesses and the Plastic Revolution, it’s now available to view online.

Bronwen Gwillim is an artist from Pembrokeshire who creates bold statement jewellery from beach plastic.

This talk explores the historical and cultural impact of plastic (particularly on the lives of women) and how it can be repurposed for a more sustainable future.

Women’s Heritage Guided Walk #WOWW

On Thursday 24th June at 10am  we will be running a guided version of Narberth Women’s Heritage Walk.

The walk (approx 6km) follows in the footsteps of 10 remarkable local women from history and shares their stories at key locations in and around the town.

We will meet at the Townsmoor Car Park at 10.00 and spaces are strictly limited. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and be aware that there are areas of uneven ground and/or unpaved stretches of road along the way.*

Maps and guides will be supplied, but if you would like to walk the trail yourself, it is available to download here.

**Please note: This event is now SOLD OUT**

*We will be repeating a shorter, more accessible route at a future date.

Flower Folklore: A Talk by Terry John (Online)

As the museum wakes up from what feels like a very long winter, we’re kicking off our 2021 programme of events with this online talk by Terry John.

Month by month, Terry guides us through the wildflowers in our gardens and hedgerows, and their associated healing properties or religious and superstitious connotations throughout history.

Tickets are £5 and you will be sent a link to watch.

Zoom Christmas Crafternoon for Mind Charity #WOWW

On Saturday 5th December at 11 am, we will be hosting a Zoom Crafternoon in aid of Mind.

This will be an informal chatty workshop to bring people together in these  isolating times. We will be creating Christmas-themed ‘Cup of Tea Greetings Cards’ for the tea-drinkers in our lives, to send the feeling of wellbeing far and wide!

In history, women have been dismissed as the ‘tea makers’. This workshop will celebrate the benefits of a cup of tea and chat with friends and the significance it still holds in all our lives.

Register for this event by donating below. ALL proceeds will go to Mind and materials will be sent to the address registered on your PayPal account. If there are any queries or you would prefer to donate another way, please email [email protected]
