Writing a Short Story

Join Wales Book of the Year shortlisted author, Judith Barrow to craft your own short story over the course of 4 sessions.

Week 1: How long is a short story? Setting

Week2: Who’s who? Creating the main characters— protagonist and antagonist. Who are they? What, how and why are they?

Week 3: Theme and Plot – does a short story have a plot?

Week 4: Using tenses and points of view. The end— denouement, a twist in the tail or open-ended?
